I can’t wait to see it and thanks for the comment.

I just wanted to post and say that a new light-bot game is in the works!

It is going to have revamped UI, levels, and graphics as well as be more education oriented, all ages, and crossplatform!

Please head to light-bot.com for details!

Are you trying to share it through a file server? I don’t think that will work. E-mail me if you want a URL you could use.

I’m running the player and browsing to the .swf file that’s stored on my hard disk. I don’t know if the .swf file is bad or if my technique is wrong.

I would like to have a local copy of this game on my server that students could run from their workstations.

You must have your lab set up so that the machines get wiped every time a student logs out.

It’s possible to create accounts on Armor Games. The easiest would probably to let students each create their own account but you’d have to find out what your school’s policy about things like that is. Alternately, you could probably create a single shared class account (I haven’t tried it but it generally works out). That way, it would have access to levels up to the highest one any student has reached.

It seems like it makes them start all over. They can’t do all of the levels in one sitting and if they are on a network computer, they can’t just leave it up for later.

I would also like to provide light-bot 2.0 on Moodle but I don’t know where to get the swf files for these games. Could you explain.

I stuck to 1.0 only because it’s possible to finish within 1.5 hours or so and has fewer scary words like ‘recursion.’ Added a note at the top.
